Privacy & Disclosures

Last updated: 4 October 2026

Lifelately is an independent digital magazine started by Mahek in Chandigarh, India. This page explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and how we handle sponsorship, affiliate links and images.

What we collect

  • Forms. When you share a story, a style story, tell us what you’re building or contact us, we receive what you enter — such as your name, email, city, links and your message.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe, we receive your email address so we can send you new stories. You can unsubscribe from any email.
  • Site statistics. Like most websites, we see anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from.

Lifelately is hosted on WordPress.com, run by Automattic. Form submissions, newsletter subscriptions and statistics are processed through WordPress.com and its Jetpack features, which may use cookies. Automattic’s own privacy policy explains how they handle data: automattic.com/privacy.

How we use it

We use your information only to read and reply to what you send, to consider your story for publication (we never publish anything without your approval), and to send the newsletter if you subscribed. We do not sell your information.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete what you’ve sent us, or to remove a published story, at any time through the contact page.

Sponsorship and affiliate links

Nothing on Lifelately is currently sponsored, and no brand has paid to be featured. If that changes, sponsored stories will be clearly labelled as sponsored at the top of the page. If we ever use affiliate links — links that may earn Lifelately a small commission if you buy something — the story will say so clearly before the first link. Brands never get to approve our editorial opinion.

Images and sources

We use our own photographs, openly licensed images (credited with their licence), and images we have permission to use. Factual claims link to their sources. Where a story includes our interpretation rather than a reported fact, we label it “Our read”. If you believe we have used your image or work incorrectly, please tell us and we will fix it promptly.
